About us

ACCT supports more than 600 autistic young people and their families in Sheffield each year. We run a wide range of inclusive activity groups each week where autistic young people can be themselves, have fun and make friends. 

Our activities include our Acctivate multi-activity club for children aged 5-12, Teenage Club, ACCT Academy football coaching, InterACCT Drama Club and ACCT Gaming sessions including Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop/role-playing games.   

We also run a fortnightly ACCTing Out social group for young autistic adults, fortnightly peer support meetings for parent-carers, autism-friendly family swimming sessions plus family trips and activities.

Up until February 2023 our formal charity name was Asperger's Children and Carers Together. We are now officially called Autistic Children and Carers Together. We still mainly just call ourselves ACCT.
