Autistic Children and Carers Together

Autistic Children And Carers Together (ACCT)

About us

ACCT supports 500+ autistic children, young people, young adults and their families in Sheffield each year, running several activity groups each week to provide a supportive environment in which autistic children and young people can develop confidence and social skills, make friends, and learn to better understand and manage the impact of their Autism.

Each week, we run a whole range of fun activities designed with and for autistic children and young people, including our Acctivate multi-activity club for children aged 5-12, Teenage Club, ACCT Academy football coaching, Minecraft Club held online via a private ACCT server, Dungeons and Dragons online sessions and a Drama Club for teenagers.

We also run a fortnightly ACCTing Out social group for young autistic adults, fortnightly peer support meetings for parent-carers as well as workshops and webinars, Autism-friendly family swimming sessions and a programme of family day trips and activities throughout the year.

Thank you for considering making a donation to support ACCT.  As awareness of Autism has increased and waiting times for diagnosis and EHCPs have increased, the need and the demand for ACCT groups and activities has never been higher. We are determined to continue delivering fun and supportive activities that do so much to help autistic children and families in Sheffield. We hope you will consider donating to help make this happen. Thank you.

Up until February 2023 our formal charity name was Asperger's Children and Carers Together. We are now officially called Autistic Children and Carers Together. We still mainly just call ourselves ACCT.
